Chalfont St Peter Garden Club Annual Show - 2010 - 72

Chalfont St Peter Garden Club Annual Show - 2010 - 72

These photos were taken to record our local garden club flower and produce show on the 21st August 2010.

They say the British are a nation of 'gardeners' and this show, one of many held throughout our islands, demonstrate that some of those 'gardeners' are pretty good at growing stuff!

We live on an amazing lump of rock in our universe, and these photos show that nature has a lot to offer us in the way of enjoyment.

So, for those who happen to come across these photos, please enjoy the efforts of the people who dedicate, probably more than a bit of their leisure time, to giving us wonderful flowers and produce to swoon over!

Plant ecosystem of Southern Courtyard

Plant ecosystem of Southern Courtyard

This is another terrestrial ecosystem of the front area of Southern Courtyard in Statesboro, GA. I captured this picture because I love the annual flowers, the maple trees, and the grass. All three of these are biotic factors of a terrestrial environment. These two pictures are related because they both include grassy areas and plants. They both differ from abiotic component because they have components that make them living based off of grass being a producer instead of phytoplankton, ect.
